Pre-Match Brief: Cardiff City

3 October 2014

Look Ahead To Tonight's Match

Blackpool host Cardiff City tonight and will be looking to build on a positive midweek result and performance at Middlesbrough.

This will be the final game prior to the international break and is also being broadcast live by Sky Sports, kick-off 7.45pm. The game has been dedicated to football's equality and inclusion organisation Kick It Out

Team News

The Seasiders have a number of injury concerns ahead of the game, with late decisions expected on the availability of José Cubero and Jeffrey Rentmeister.

Gary MacKenzie (achilles) and Steven Davies (hip) remain sidelined, while Peter Clarke (illness) and Andrea Orlandi (foot) are likely to be given time over the international break to recover.

Joe Lewis is unavailable to face Cardiff due to the terms of his loan agreement so Ell Parish is expected to make his Blackpool debut between the sticks.

Danny Gabbidon and Scott Young will remain in caretaker charge for the visitors, with the club's former players overseeing the team to five points from a possible nine.

Recent loan arrival Ravel Morrison could come into contention for his start for The Bluebirds, while a decision on the fitness of Matt Connolly will be made following the defender's hamstring problem.

Ticket News

Tickets remain on sale to both sets of supporters for the match, with pre-booked tickets available for collection from the ticket booth, located just outside the ticket office, from 9am.

500 Cardiff City fans have already purchased tickets, with the remaining allocation available to purchase from the away ticket booth from 6.15pm.

A special ticket offer is in place for the fixture, with tickets priced as follows:

£15 for Adults
£10 for Seniors
£5 for Under-16s

Match Officials

Dean Whitestone will officiate the game between the two teams. His last match in charge of The Seasiders came against Sheffield Wednesday on New Year's Day. He will be assisted by Mark Astley and Peter Gooch, with Mark Heywood on fourth official duties.

Tonight's programme features interviews with Nathan Delfouneso, Ell Parish, Trevor Sinclair and Paul Mortimer, Professional Players' Engagement Manager for Kick It Out.

Copies, which are priced at £3, are available to purchase from the club shop or from various sellers around the ground prior to kick-off.

Betting Odds

Blackpool can be backed at odds of 12/5 with Sky Bet to pick up all three points against Cardiff, with the visitors available at 6/5.

Ishmael Miller is priced at 7/1 to open the scoring and add to his effort the other night, while Nathan Delfouneso can be backed at 3/1 to score at anytime for The Seasiders.
