Seasiders Look For ConsistencyJosé Riga has challenged his players to build on their first win against Cardiff and maintain a certain performance standard throughout the season.
Speaking prior to a return to Championship action against Huddersfield Town, the manager stressed the importance of future improvements.
"We have been working hard to get this result so we just have to do the same daily. We know what we have to do to be efficient, we have to work hard together and to be strong mentally and physically," he said.
"It's good to get a win but it is now part of the past. We know what we are able to do but we have to remember why we got that result.
"We are still growing because it is not a long time that the players have been together. We know that the next step is to get some good results, in terms of being consistent during the games."
Expected to be without Joan Oriol, José Cubero and Sergei Zenjov for the match tomorrow, Riga has noted a word of caution about the team Blackpool face.
"I've told the players that the game of tomorrow can be the most difficult that we have to face of the last few weeks because Huddersfield is doing well and they have the same mentality of working hard on the pitch and they have quality, for sure. If we want to improve and get to this level then we have to do more than before."
More than 800 Blackpool fans will make the trip across the Pennines for the fixture, with the manager quick to credit the support as a key factor in recent results.
"They are really part of what we want to achieve because their support is quite amazing. I am happy to see so many people going to Huddersfield," he added.
