Report: Blackpool 1 Norwich 3

Despite scoring their first goal of September, Blackpool fell to defeat at Bloomfield Road, as Norwich came from behind to win impressively.

Nathan Delfouneso had pounced on a loose ball to give Pool the lead straight after the break, but the high-flying Canaries hit back in devastating fashion.

Donervon Daniels found the back of his own net to draw them level, before Lewis Grabban and Josh Murphy earned the three points for Norwich.

Defeat saw The Seasiders sink to bottom place in The Championship, and remain winless for the campaign.

A testing free-kick from home captain Tony McMahon had given England stopper John Ruddy an early job, before he held Francois Zoko's flicked header.

The familiar face of Wes Hoolahan was making his return to Bloomfield Road, and he teed up Bradley Johnson, but his cushioned header was caught by Joe Lewis.

From there The Canaries began to show why they're flying high in The Championship, as Grabban's deflected drive drifted the right side of the post from a home perspective.

The much-anticipated debut of José Miguel Cubero had proved steady in the opening half hour, the highlight being a half-volley from long-range which flew over the bar.

The best chance of the half arrived on 43 minutes, as Hoolahan slipped Grabban through, but the striker dragged his effort wide of the mark.

Blackpool had remained solid throughout much like in recent weeks, but lacked a cutting edge as the two sides went in level.

As uneventful as the first half was, the second started with a bang for Blackpool. David Perkins made huge strides forward from midfield, before feeding Ishmael Miller, and while Ruddy foiled the striker, he could do nothing about Delfouneso knocking the rebound into the unguarded net.

Bloomfield Road was sent into jubilation, but the home supporters were almost silenced instantly, as Grabban flashed an effort over the bar.

However that was simply a reprieve, and on 53 minutes the visitors were level. Johnson's corner was flicked on by Daniels, who found himself out of luck as his header crept in via the back-post.

Seconds later Lewis did well to palm away Johnson's effort, before John Lundstram denied Cameron Jerome rolling home into an empty net with a last-ditch tackle.

Johnson then fired wide and bent a free-kick over for The Canaries, who were starting to boss proceedings. The tricky Nathan Redmond then tested Lewis, who held firm.

The away chances kept coming, this time Hoolahan missed the goal from six yards out, under pressure from McMahon, before leaving the pitch to applause from all four sides of the stadium.

With 13 minutes remaining Jacob Mellis made his return from injury, replacing Nile Ranger.

However three minutes later the hosts found themselves behind, as Grabban turned on the edge of the box and saw his effort take a hefty deflection off McMahon, before nestling in the top corner.

And seconds later the game was over as a contest, as substitute Murphy bent in a third beyond the reach of Lewis.

With four minutes left Sergei Zenjov replaced Zoko, but it did nothing to change the outcome of the game.
