Midfielder Continues RecoveryBlackpool’s Jacob Mellis confirmed he is approaching a return to fitness in the coming weeks.
The midfielder has been out of action since the Blackburn game on August 16 with knee ligament damage.
Physiotherapy is well underway now, and Mellis feels the end is in sight.
“I should be back in a couple of weeks,” he said. “I’m starting to do some more work now with Phil (Horner) and I’m starting to get more movement in it.
“It was the first minute of the Blackburn game when I did my ligaments. I had to keep a brace on it at first to make sure it was secure, but I’ve got full movement back now.
“As long as I don’t feel anything beforehand I should be a couple of weeks away, but I’ve not set a specific game.”
Mellis started the first three games of the season, and will hope to return to a side with some points under their belt.
“We’ve got two home games coming up, so hopefully we can pick up some points.”
