Non-League Day 2014

5 September 2014

Promoting Grass Roots Football

This season’s Non-League Day will take place on Saturday 6 September and is in partnership with Men United (Prostate Cancer UK).

The day takes advantage of the international break, where no football is played in the Premier League or The Championship, and promotes grass roots football.

The Seasiders have a free weekend, so supporters can play their part by attending a local non-league match.

Games local to Bloomfield Road on Saturday include Squires Gate v AFC Liverpool, Burscough v Harrogate Railway Athletic and Barrow v Worcester City.

Football commentator, Martin Tyler, said: “Non–League Day is a chance to celebrate the 40,000 semi-professional and amateur clubs in the UK and I am honoured to help fly the flag.”
