Midfielder Taking The PositivesDavid Perkins insists that last night's defeat to Watford wasn't a step backwards for Blackpool.
The Seasiders failed to build on Saturday's positive result, as a penalty settled the tight encounter.
However the midfielder felt the hosts had enough chances to claim a point, not least when they missed their own spot kick.
“Obviously there is disappointment there, but if you look at the positives I think there was plenty of them. The only disappointing thing was that we didn't score, and we should have,” said Perkins.
“In the second half they didn't really create too much. Obviously there is the penalty, but we had a penalty too, our own chance, and it's disappointing Nile missed it, he'll be the first to admit it.
“The crowd were fantastic, and with the backing of them we can really achieve something at home and make it a fortress.”
Two performances following the international break will have given Blackpool supporters hope, and Perkins pointed out it is a work in progress.
“You don't just make a team or a squad, it takes time to build it and that helped over the international break. With wins will come more confidence, and we're getting there.
“If you look at the fixtures we've had so far we've had a pretty tough start, as the gaffer said.
“We need to pick up some points, we need to get that first win so soon as possible. I do think it's coming, there is improvements there and we just need to stay positive and keep moving forward,” he said.
