Former Player Passes Away
Former Blackpool midfielder Billy Ronson has sadly passed away at the age of 58.
Born in Fleetwood, Ronson began his career with The Seasiders in 1974 and went on to make 145 appearances across two spells.
The £130,000 which took him to Cardiff City in 1979 was a club record fee at the time, before he returned to Bloomfield Road briefly in the 1985/86 season.
Ronson scored 13 times in tangerine, and also played for the likes of Wrexham, Barnsley and in America - where he most recently resided.
Blackpool FC would like to pass on its condolences to Billy's family and friends at this sad time.
