Manager On Fulham DefeatLee Clark felt Blackpool deserved far more from their performance against Fulham this afternoon and lamented losing out to a 'poor' goal.
Matt Smith's first-half header was enough to separate the sides, though Blackpool had the better opportunities throughout the 90 minutes.
"The goal is really poor, we were the dominant team and had two good opportunities through young Henry where he was unlucky. They then had their first attack, we didn't defend the cross and it was a flick off his head that has crept in," the manager said.
The closest The Seasiders came to an equaliser was in injury-time, with Marcus Bettinelli pulling off a fine stop to deny Gary Madine.
"It was a fantastic save from the keeper, Gary was really unlucky with that. Our end product could have been a little bit better at times but I thought we dominated the game from start to finish.
"The one result that shouldn't have happened today was us losing, maybe even a draw would have been harsh on us. I'm bitterly disappointed."
The result now leaves Blackpool with two games to ensure that they don't finish the campaign off with the worst tally recorded at this level.
"That's something we don't want. We've got many unwanted records this season, we've got to try and make sure that we don't have that record. We'll be going all out in the next two games to get those results," Clark added.
