The Match: Derby County (A)

Preview Tuesday's Game

Derby County vs Blackpool
iPro Stadium
14 April 2015

Not a happy hunting ground in the past, Blackpool will hope to bury their iPro Stadium hoodoo on Tuesday night and build on recent improved performances.

Saturday's defeat at Ipswich Town was Pool's first in four matches, and a positive result over Derby County would continue the building work towards next season.

At the opposite end of the table Derby's promotion challenge is stuttering at the worst possible time, with The Rams winning just one of their last nine matches.

Inside the play-offs by one points with four games remaining, Steve McClaren's side will be targeting a much needed victory to kick-start their charge towards Premier League football.

Team News
Darren O'Dea is a doubt for the trip after being withdrawn from Saturday's game with a broken nose. Joe Lewis, Grant Hall, Tom Aldred and Mark Waddington are all certainly ruled out, while Miles Addison remains a doubt.

Midfielder Will Hughes will miss out through suspension for the hosts, but Ryan Shotton and Cyrus Christie are expected to be fit for a return.

In The Build-Up
The Seasiders were unlucky to lose out at Portman Road, having conceded the winner just seven minutes from time. Previously Lee Clark's men had drawn three consecutive games 1-1.

Derby left it late to claim a point against promotion rivals Brentford on Saturday, but they did beat Wigan Athletic 2-0 on Easter Monday.

Previous Meetings
Earlier in the season Chris Martin's penalty settled a tight encounter at Bloomfield Road. However The Rams battered Pool on their last trip to Derbyshire, with Martin's hat-trick helping the hosts to a 5-1 victory.
