Look At Saturday's Edition
Striker Mark Cullen makes the cover of this week’s Up The Pool, as Walsall visit Bloomfield Road.
The striker, who has two goals to his name so far, can be seen celebrating on the front of the third programme of the season.
Cullen is also the subject of the main interview inside, discussing coming out of his shell as one of the livelier characters at the club.
“When I first came into football I was a shy because I was only a young kid, but once you come out of your shell you kind of stay out of it. I’m pleased that I’ve been able to come here and be myself,” he said inside.
Cullen is joined by Tom Aldred inside, after the defender made his first league appearance of the season at Sheffield United last week.
“The manager pointed out after the game last week that I’ve only got another 91 games to go now. I want to become part of a Blackpool side which keeps clean sheets and get a good number of games together, similarly to Accrington, then I can really kick on,” said Aldred.
Elsewhere, Colin Doyle provides the player column, tackling topical subjects, while his fellow goalkeeper Kyle Letheren is in the spotlight.
Walsall captain Adam Chambers provides the away perspective and talks readers through his teammates.
There are also the usual history and Young Seasiders sections, while Neil McDonald and Ian Chisnall provide their pre-match notes.
Available from around Bloomfield Road, Up The Pool is priced at £3 and designed by O Publishing.
