Winger Fit Again For Saturday
The returning Jarrett Rivers could be set for his Blackpool debut against Walsall on Saturday.
The winger, signed from Blyth Spartans in the summer, has been ruled out of Blackpool’s last four matches with a groin problem.
An unused substitute at Colchester United on the opening day, Rivers has now returned to training and is nearing full fitness.
“Jarrett Rivers is hopefully going to be involved over the weekend,” revealed McDonald.
“He trained on Thursday and will hopefully train with the rest of the squad on Friday, so he comes into the reckoning.”
Meanwhile, the manager shed further light on Colin Doyle and John Herron, who’ve been keeping the treatment room full in recent weeks.
“Colin Doyle and John Herron have stepped up their training, so we’re hoping both of them will be able to join in fully next week,” he said.
