Loanee Looks Ahead To Barnsley
Will Aimson can't wait for his first sample of Christmas football, as Blackpool prepare to face Barnsley on Monday.
The youngster, borrowed from Hull City, will experience football over the festive period for the first time when Pool make the trip to Oakwell.
Having started in recent victories over Wigan Athletic and Peterborough United, he’ll hope to retain his place and fulfil another ambition.
"I’ve always wanted to play over the Christmas period because it’s a great time for football," he explained.
"I used to watch Bournemouth as a kid and when you’re with the under-21s you get time off, but this is going to be crucial for my development.
"It’s exactly what I’m here for, to be in the first-team environment and to get some games under my belt - it’s been great."
The 21-year-old has been deployed in front of the back four to great success recently, and is enjoying showing off different facets of his game.
"I’ve obviously been happy to get a chance, no matter what position I play and to be getting the wins has made it that bit better.
"I’ve been on the ball more than I’m used to and had the odd nose bleed when going up front, but I do enjoy getting forward so it’s nice to affect the game in a different way," he added.
