Club Offers Venue For Third Round FixtureBloomfield Road will play host to Carlisle United's third round Emirates FA Cup clash against Yeovil Town in January.
The club has stepped in to help Keith Curle's side following the devastating Storm Desmond floods that resulted in the Brunton Park pitch being submerged last month.
Following discussions between Blackpool, Carlisle United, Yeovil Town, The FA and relevant police authorities, it can now be confirmed that the tie will take place on Sunday 10 January, kick-off 2pm.
“Blackpool were extremely positive from the moment we made first contact and arranging this fixture has been an extremely smooth process," Carlisle United club secretary Sarah McKnight said. "It has also been another example of how well clubs and authorities can work together in times of need. It’s a great stadium and everyone at the club has been very receptive and accommodating with our requests. We can’t thank them enough.”
The Cumbrians have already switched two league fixtures to the Lancashire area, with Preston North End and Blackburn Rovers offering their stadiums.
