Manager Delighted With Third Win On The SpinNeil McDonald was delighted to see his Blackpool side extend their winning run to three games with a fantastic 2-0 victory against Peterborough United.
The manager watched on as his players once again executed a game plan to perfection, frustrating the opposition at one end and making the most of a few opportunities at the other.
"It was a fantastic performance, another clean sheet, and we're starting to put the ball in the back of the net now. We're starting to get that first goal and it gives everyone that spring in their step," McDonald said.
"We've been working very, very hard over the last two months and we're just starting to get the rewards now, which is excellent."
It was all about defending from the front for Blackpool, with Mark Cullen and Elliot Lee causing all sorts of problems for the Peterborough back line when in possession.
"They worked hard for the 60 minutes that they were on, we had a game plan where we wanted to let them have it at the back because they wanted to play out. If we could pinch it and put them under pressure in the heavy rain, then we had to take advantage of the chances that came along, and we certainly did that in the first-half."
The visitors came into the match as the highest scoring team in The Football League this season, making a clean sheet against them all the more satisfying.
"We kept a team that has been free scoring and tried to play off the front very, very quiet today. The chances that they had, apart from the last minute or so, were from long distance," he added.
