Pool Targeting Three On The Spin
Blackpool are looking to make it three in a row on Saturday, as the festive period gets underway with a home fixture against Peterborough United.
The Seasiders have recently beaten Fleetwood Town and Wigan Athletic, but now welcome at Posh side unbeaten in their last five matches.
Jack Redshaw is again expected to miss out with shin splints this weekend, while Colin Doyle remains a doubt. Neil McDonald will certainly be without Lloyd Jones and Henry Cameron.
United were dealt a blow this week when influential youngster Jermaine Anderson was ruled out for the season. There could be better news on Jon Taylor and Martin Samuelsen. Joe Gormley, Shaun Brisley, Kgosi Ntlhe and Gabi Zakuani are all sidelined.
Neil McDonald: “It's certainly achievable to try and get points out of the game and try and keep our mini run going at the moment. Our home form has been excellent.”
Graham Westley: “The form on the road has been positive, I think it suits us on the road, sides do have to come out and open the game up, as opposed to at our place where they have much more of a tendency to sit in and try and keep the game much tighter.”
Rob Lewis will be in the middle for the contest, assisted by Gareth Mellor and Joseph Johnson, while the fourth official is James Mainwaring.
