Youth Prepare For Morecambe FixtureBlackpool Youth face a trip to Morecambe this weekend and Richie Kyle says his side are determined to get back to winning ways.
The Seasiders are still looking for their first win of 2015, but recent displays have been encouraging for Kyle, and he's confident that unwanted record can be brought to an end at the weekend against a team they beat 2-0 earlier on in the campaign.
"We will approach the match at Morecambe with confidence, if we play like we did in midweek we'll be in with a great chance," he said. "Since the performance at Wrexham, the lads have performed much better. It was always going to affect the team losing key players the way we did, but we don't begrudge the decision for Mark, Dom and Henry to be playing with the first-team, that's the main aim at the end of the day.
"From the youth team point of view, it's getting slightly repetitive but I'm very confident of turning this dip in form around, we've lost two goalscorers but now it's time for others to step up and grab the goals.
"We drew our last league game against Carlisle and suffered a narrow defeat in The Lancashire Cup to a very good Tranmere team. They are at the top of our division and their coach said to me after the game that we were unlucky. The first goal was always important in that game and they got it through a set-piece right on half-time.
"The confidence within the group was rock bottom a couple of weeks ago, but now they're up and at. They are maturing and improving all the time and I'm sure if we keep on seeing this improvement we'll cause sides a lot of trouble between now and the end of the season," he added.
