O'Dea and Orlandi Ruled Out

19 February 2015

Duo To Miss Blackburn Fixture

Darren O'Dea and Andrea Orlandi will miss Saturday's game at Blackburn Rovers due to injury, manager Lee Clark has confirmed.

O'Dea, who was stretchered off against Nottingham Forest, is still suffering with the swelling sustained to his ankle, while Orlandi has a thigh problem.

"Darren has got severe bruising, lacerations and cuts down his ankle and Achilles, and from his knee down he's in quite a bit of pain. That will rule him out," Clark said.

"Andrea has a grade two thigh problem so he'll definitely miss the next two games and will be a push for the Wigan game."

The manager also has a number of other concerns ahead of the trip to Ewood Park, with two players unable to take part in full training this morning.

"Niall Maher limped off with a bit of hamstring tightness this morning and Nyron Nosworthy didn't come in because of illness. We're very stretched at this moment but hopefully the lads that play on Saturday will give me the fight that they gave me at the weekend."

One positive bit of news is the return to fitness of defender Grant Hall, who could replace the suspended Tom Aldred.

"Grant has trained this week so that's been a big boost. It would have been a big problem if he hadn't of been. He'd done particularly well in the couple of games he'd had for us so we're looking forward to having him back," he added.
