The Seasiders' recent upturn in fortunes at Bloomfield Road came to an end on Tuesday night, as Middlesbrough secured all three points with an 88th minute winner.
Saturday's visitors come into the game on the back of a 3-0 victory over Wigan on Wednesday night, which gave Dougie Freedman his second win from two games in charge.
Charles Dunne is expected to recover in time after leaving the field with a muscular problem the other night, while Gary Madine will push for a start following a debut off the bench. Grant Hall misses out with ankle ligament damage but could be back for the game against Blackburn Rovers next weekend.
Nottingham Forest will be without top scorer Britt Assombalonga, who sustained what appeared to be a bad knee injury against Wigan on Wednesday. Andy Reid and Chris Cohen continue to miss out with long-term injuries.
No tickets will be available on the day for Nottingham Forest fans, with the away allocation completely sold out. Tickets will remain on sale to Blackpool supporters though, with pre-booked tickets available for collection from the ticket booth, located just outside the ticket office, from 11am.

Lee Probert will officiate the game between the two teams, having last refereed a Blackpool game in May 2011. He will be assisted by Ron Ganfield and Andy Halliday, with Darren Bond on fourth official duties.
