Away Days: Watford

22 January 2015

Plan Saturday's Away Trip

Back on the road this weekend, Blackpool will take to the field at a new-look Vicarage Road hoping to defy the league table.
Watford's home is now complete following the opening of the new Sir Elton John Stand, and on the pitch the team are going strong.
For any supporters tackling the trip down south, here is a guide to your Watford away day.
By Car
223 minutes separate Vicarage Road and Bloomfield Road, meaning supporters are advised to leave around four hours to make the journey.

By Train
Watford High Street is the nearest station to Vicarage Road, and it involves between two and three changes from Blackpool North. The journey with two changes involves supporters swapping at Preston and then London Euston, and the journey takes just under four hours.
20,877 supporters can fit inside Vicarage Road, and it has been home to Watford since 1922.
Also used by Wealdstone FC and Saracens rugby union side in the past, Blackpool's last visit to the stadium came in March when The Hornets won 4-0.
The Elton John Stand was opened for December's fixture with Wigan Athletic, a match the hosts won 2-1.
Watford tickets go off sale at 1pm on Thursday, but supporters can still pay on the gate at Vicarage Road.
