Winger On Signing Professional DealHenry Cameron described signing his first professional contract with Blackpool FC as 'a dream come true'.
The club agreed terms with the 17-year-old this afternoon, rewarding him for his impressive form at youth team level.
Having been with the club since he was 11, Cameron will now look to produce similar performances for the first team.
“Last week I was offered a contract and there were no doubts because it's a great club,” said Cameron.
“It's a dream come true. I always believed in myself and I'm glad it's finally happened.”
Meanwhile Cameron held special praise for Head of Coaching Richie Kyle, who has nurtured the winger over the past 18 months.
“Richie Kyle has probably had the biggest influence on me, without him I don't think I could have done it.
“I trained with the first team before the Villa game and he (Lee Clark) was impressed with me, and I played in some reserve matches, he's been good too.”
Having trained with the first team in recent weeks, Cameron is now looking to kick-on as a professional footballer.
“Obviously because I'm the youngest I get a bit of banter, but you expect that and training has been really good.
“It's been quite tough tempo wise with the first team and obviously because I'm still a young lad I need to develop physically.
“I just want to get some minutes on the pitch and hopefully help the team as best I can,” he said.
