Manager Ahead Of Brighton Visit
Lee Clark says a home victory on Saturday could have huge implications on not only his Blackpool side, but also their opponents.
Brighton & Hove Albion are currently hovering above the relegation zone in which The Seasiders are stuck inside.
The two sides meet at Bloomfield Road on Saturday, and a Pool victory could tighten up the bottom half of the table.
“We know that if we can get a win we'll bring them back into the mix, and we can get the points difference back to where it was before the mid-week games,” said Clark.
“At home we've got teams in and around us. We can make a huge impact on not only ourselves but also dent their opportunities to get out of the bottom end of the table.”
The Seagulls have improved in recent weeks since Chris Hughton's arrival, and Clark is under no allusions of the task on his side's hands.
“Chris is a very experienced manager and at Championship level has a very good record.
“They're still trying to play the Brighton way in terms of coming out from the back and playing through the units.
“We understand it's going to be a tough game, they've got some really good attacking players,” he said.
