Defender Agrees New Deal

Darren O'Dea has agreed a new deal at Blackpool to keep him at the club until the end of the season.

The former Celtic and Leeds United defender, 27, has opted to extend his stay at Bloomfield Road after initially arriving on a short-term deal last month.

"I'm delighted to sign until the end of the season. I've enjoyed my time so far and I'm now looking forward to a massive challenge ahead," O'Dea said.

The Republic of Ireland international has started in the last three matches for The Seasiders, having made a total of four appearances so far.
