Squad To Support Youth Team

15 January 2015

Players In Attendance At Bloomfield Road

Blackpool's first team squad will be at Bloomfield Road on Thursday evening to watch the youth team's FA Youth Cup clash with Birmingham City.

Lee Clark's players will be present to show their support for the youngsters, who are competing for the right to face either Liverpool or Derby in the fifth round.

“The players are training in the afternoon, because the whole first team squad will be staying late to give their support for the young players,” said Clark.

“It's a big game for the youngsters, we've all been there ourselves, so it's important that we show our support.

“We decided to bring training a bit later so they could stay around the club and watch the game.”

One player who has progressed through the youth system is Henry Cameron, and Clark was delighted to secure him on a professional contract this week.

“It's great that young Henry is staying. I had a good chat with his father yesterday and gave him my plans for the football side of things. We've got high hopes for young Henry,” said Clark.
