Midfielder Helps Costa Rica To Draw
Blackpool’s José Miguel Cubero played the full 90 minutes of Costa Rica’s CONCACAF Gold Cup opener against Jamaica earlier today.
Paulo Wanchope’s side, with Cubero in the heart of the midfield, claimed a 2-2 draw in California thanks to goals from Roy Miller and David Ramirez.
Other English-based players on show included Leicester’s Wes Morgan, Jobi McAnuff of Leyton Orient and Reading’s Garath McCleary.
Los Ticos will now face El Salvador on Sunday, before clashing with Canada next Wednesday.
