Midfielder Agrees Blackpool DealJim McAlister has completed a move to Blackpool ahead of the new season, signing a two-year deal with the option of a further year.
The 29-year-old, who featured in recent friendlies against Ross County, St Johnstone and Morecambe, arrives at Bloomfield Road with a wealth of experience from playing north of the border.
Promoted twice with Greenock Morton during an eight-year association, McAlister has spent the last three years at Dundee and was a key part of the side that achieved success in the Scottish Championship in 2014.
The midfielder made 123 appearances during his time with The Dark Blues and helped the club to a sixth place finish in the Scottish Premiership last season.
"The club was up in Scotland last week and I managed to spend a full week training with the boys, playing a part in a couple of games," McAlister said.
"I'm seeking a fresh challenge and thankfully I've been given the opportunity to come here. I'm really, really looking forward to getting started.
"I spoke to Kyle Letheren before I met up with the boys up in Scotland last week and he had nothing but good things to say about the whole place in general, from the manager, through to the squad and the stadium. That whetted my appetite a wee bit to try and get a deal here."
