Manager On Training Camp In ScotlandNeil McDonald is looking forward to spending plenty of time with his squad during a training camp in Scotland this week.
The manager is keen to utilise every available opportunity to get his players up-to-speed for the rigours of the new season and feels the time away can only benefit the group.
"We'll look to push on again with our fitness work," he said. "It'll give us a chance to work without any distractions, the players won't be driving home and we can do as many sessions as we possibly can."
The trip will see the team based at Stirling University working on various aspects, from general fitness work to individual work and team shape.
"It's about that individual understanding and working and talking to each other in their little units. We'll then pull it all together in a team formation, like we've done so far in the two games that we've played.
"If they learn when they haven't got the ball what they've got to do, then it makes them difficult to beat. If they express themselves when we've got the ball, like they have in our first two games, it shows we can be exciting and score goals, he added."
Blackpool will also face two Scottish Premiership sides while north of the border, with a game against St Johnstone on Saturday coming on the back of a behind-closed-doors fixture on Wednesday.
