Striker On Bloomfield Road Move
New recruit Jack Redshaw is looking to make an instant impact as part of Neil McDonald’s new-look Blackpool side.
The striker completed a switch from League Two Morecambe earlier today, becoming the manager's seventh signing since taking over.
After top scoring for The Shrimps with 12 goals last season, Redshaw is now eager to make his mark as a Seasider in the coming campaign.
“The manager wants to move the club in the right direction and now I’m a part of that I just want to help the best I can to move Blackpool forward,” said Redshaw.
“I like the way he is trying to build the club and I wanted to be a part of that.”
The 24-year-old is expected to feature in Saturday’s pre-season friendly at Lancaster City, where the latest chapter of the former Manchester City man’s career begins.
“I think the time is right to move on and step up into League One. I’m confident in my own ability and want to be successful with Blackpool.
“I like to pick the ball up from deep and drive at defenders, but most of all I’m a striker and I want to score goals, which is what I’m here to do.
“I’m delighted to be here and I can’t wait to get started,” Redshaw added.
