Former Birmingham Goalkeeper To Join BlackpoolColin Doyle will join Blackpool for the new season after putting pen-to-paper on a two-year contract at Bloomfield Road, with the option of a further year.
The goalkeeper, 29, becomes manager Neil McDonald's first signing following his release from Birmingham City last month.
Capped by the Republic of Ireland, Doyle spent more than 13 years at St Andrew's competing against the likes of Joe Hart, Ben Foster, Maik Taylor and Darren Randolph for a place in the side.
Doyle, who has appeared in the Europa League, Premier League and Championship with Birmingham, now aims to establish himself as Blackpool's new number one.
"I spoke to the manager today and what he said about the club and what he hopes to bring in has really convinced me to come here," he told the official website.
"I was at Birmingham a long time after coming through the academy, and the last few years have gone a bit stale because I didn't play many games there. I want to come here, play regularly and get a full season under my belt. This is a new chapter now and one that I'm really looking forward to getting started."
