Defender On Saturday's 1-1 Draw
Peter Clarke felt Blackpool were worthy of all three points at the weekend after a gutsy display against Leeds United.
The Seasiders squandered a first half lead and were forced to settle for a point despite a positive showing, but the defender took the positives.
“We fell that little bit short. We just didn't do enough to get the points required and it perhaps sums up our season as a whole really,” said Clarke.
“We had the better of things in the first half and to be only one up I thought we were a little bit unfortunate.
“We've had our noses in front which was nice, but unfortunately we couldn't hold onto that and get the points our play and performance warranted.”
The Seasiders have seven matches remaining, and despite the table looking bleak Clarke insists there is still plenty to play for.
“You've got to make sure you prepare the very best you can for every single game.
“People have got to perform to the best of their ability to show the manager they're worthy of staying here, or perform to get themselves a new club in the summer if that's the plan,” he added.
