Defender On Improving Form
Charles Dunne believes he is starting to hit form in a Blackpool shirt, after cementing himself in Lee Clark's side.
Suspension aside the left back has been a regular for The Seasiders in 2015, and put in arguably his best performance yet against Leeds United on Saturday.
Having been patient for his opportunity, Dunne feels the Bloomfield Road faithful are starting to see what he's all about.
"Saturday was probably one of my better games in a Blackpool shirt,” said Dunne. “I was happy with my performance, although it would have been nice to get the win.
“It came after being ill earlier in the week in the run-up to the game. I was a bit stuffy before the game, but as soon I started playing the adrenaline kicked in.
“Unfortunately you get punished in the Championship, even the slightest mistake can lead to a goal. One point wasn't really good enough for us on Saturday.”
Under contract for next season, the 22-year-old has paid tribute to Clark, who has handed the defender 16 appearances since his arrival.
“The manager gave me a chance and I really respect him for that. I hope I'm a big part of his plans for next season.
“We have to try and look forward to that now and hopefully we can do well.
“I work hard at my game during the week and I always look forward to games on a Saturday,” he added.
