Defender Back At St Andrew's
Grant Hall is relishing his return to St Andrew's this week, and is travelling to Birmingham with a point to prove.
The defender spent the first half of the season with The Blues, but was snubbed following the departure of current Pool boss Lee Clark.
Hall swapped Birmingham for Blackpool in January, and is now focused on taking three points from his former club.
“It's one I've been looking forward to,” said Hall. “It will be interesting and I'll be really motivated on Wednesday evening to prove a point.
“It was a frustrating time when the new manager came in there. I didn't play for two or three months and was just waiting until January so I could get out.
“I wasn't in his plans so it was a tough couple of months for me, but I've got nothing against anyone there.
“People have different opinions, but I'll hopefully go there and put in a performance to help us get three points.”
The 23-year-old has returned to the Blackpool side for the last three games, and will aim to keep his place for Wednesday's fixture.
In January Hall returned from the West Midlands with an ankle injury picked up at Wolves, but hopes his return to the county will end on a better note this time.
“The injury came at a bad time. I'd had a frustrating few months at Birmingham and just wanted to get out there, so it was a real blow.
“The first couple of weeks were the worst. I couldn't do a lot, I was just sat there icing in the injury room.
“The rehab was supposed to be four weeks minimum, so I recovered quite quickly, and was just desperate to get back involved,” said Hall.
