Striker Reacts To Saturday's Point
Gary Madine used his experience to bag his third Blackpool goal against Leeds United on Saturday.
The striker put Pool in front at Bloomfield Road, but it was only enough for a point as the visitors fought back.
Nevertheless it was the club's first goal of the month and was reward for a positive display.
“I stood two yards offside before the free-kick and as they dropped I nudged my defender to get myself onside,” explained Madine.
“It was a great free-kick by Andrea (Orlandi) and the keeper got a touch to put it onto the bar, thankfully it's dropped right into my path and I got my head on it.
“I'm trying to get goals here, I've got three now all at home and hopefully I can get a couple more.”
The Seasiders were the better side throughout, registering 19 shots on goal, and a point was the least they deserved according to the Sheffield Wednesday loanee.
“We definitely had enough in the game to win. I thought we were the better side and they'll be more than happy with a point.
“The Gaffer wants us to play in the right areas, when you get the ball high up the pitch take risks.
“One lapse in concentration cost us the game, 98 minutes we played and for 97 we played the conditions really well. It's tough out there, but we did well,” he added.
