Programme Preview: Leeds United

20 March 2015

Look At Saturday's Edition

Midfielder David Perkins is on the cover of Saturday's matchday programme, as Leeds United visit Bloomfield Road.

At 32 Perkins is one of the club's more experienced players, while only Peter Clarke and Nathan Delfouneso have played more times for Pool out of the current squad.

He sat down with the matchday programme and called upon Blackpool to now turn their focus towards the young players.

“We've got eight games to go and the new lads have to be nurtured. The experienced players like myself have got to put an arm around them,” said Perkins.

Also inside is Michael Jacobs, who discusses his loan move from Wolves to Blackpool for the rest of the season.

The winger has started the last two matches, and is looking ahead to the remaining eight games this season.

Assistant manager Alan Thompson is interviewed inside, tackling subjects such as his role at Bloomfield Road and his time with Leeds as a player.

Along with Thompson, there is an interview with former player Ian Britton. The 60-year-old was once competing for The Seasiders, but is now battling against prostate cancer.

Britton discusses his time with Blackpool and his ongoing health battle.

Sol Bamba provides the away perspective for Leeds, while Lee Clark writes his usual notes.

Available for £3 and designed by O Publishing, the programmes are available from around Bloomfield Road.
