Manager On Match Abandonment
Lee Clark says the correct decision was made to abandon Blackpool's match with Huddersfield Town due to safety reasons on Saturday.
With the final game of the season tied at 0-0 on 48 minutes, the players were forced to leave the field after a pitch invasion.
“It was taken out of our hands,” said Clark. “The decision was made by the safety officer and police in charge of match command.
“What's paramount is everybody's safety and that's players included. If they couldn't give us that guarantee then the right decision has been made.
“As soon as it happened I went straight into the dressing room and I didn't go back out. It's a sad, sad day for football.”
