Goalkeeper On Bradford Test
Colin Doyle hopes Blackpool can instantly set about building another run of good form with a positive result at Bradford City on Tuesday night.
The Seasiders tasted defeat for the first time in seven matches on Saturday, but are back in action with their game in hand in West Yorkshire.
“We’ve got to put Saturday behind us because we’ve got another big game on Tuesday,” said Doyle. “Hopefully we can start another run by getting a point or even three.
“We’re looking forward to Tuesday night, the lads were buzzing around the training ground on Monday, so hopefully we can go to Bradford and do our business.
“The run we’ve been on lately has been fantastic and we were supposed to play Bradford a few weeks ago. We know it’s going to be a tough game because they got a good draw on Saturday.”
Blackpool uncharacteristically conceded from set pieces on Saturday, and with Bradford posing a similar threat to Bury, Doyle knows they’ll need to be solid at the back.
“We gave away too many fouls for set pieces in the first-half at Bury and that cost us. Attacking-wise we were good, and defending in general play we were OK, it was just the set pieces.
“The hard work with the Gaffer and Richie (Kyle) had made us hard to beat. We’d not been conceding many goals before Saturday which is pleasing, and we must get back to that,” he added.
