Midfielder Looking For Reaction At Southend
David Norris has called on Blackpool to stop the rot with a positive result at Southend United at the weekend.
The Seasiders are winless in five matches, three of which came in League One, so the midfielder is looking for a reaction against the mid-table Shrimps.
“We don’t want to get back into that rot, after we’d done so well to get out of it,” he said. “We want to get some distance between ourselves and the bottom.
“We lost at Bury and Bradford in a totally different way, where I came off the pitch gutted, rather than angry and disappointed, but we let ourselves down against Doncaster.
“That was the first game the other day when I felt it wasn’t us. We didn’t do what we normally do and we’ve got to make sure we have a reaction from that.”
Southend themselves have gone their last four matches without a victory, but Norris is aware of their impressive record on home soil in recent months.
“Going down there will make it even harder so we’ve got to be right at it.
“The majority of that squad has been together for two or three years now, they’ll be well organised, well worked and it’s going to be a tough game,” he added.
