A Look At Saturday's Edition
Brad Potts makes the cover of the official matchday programme on Saturday, as Blackpool prepare to host Doncaster Rovers.
The midfielder is seen celebrating his strike against Chesterfield in September and will hope to be back on form in tangerine this weekend.
Inside, Charles Dunne and José Cubero are the subject of the main interview, with both returning to the fray in recent weeks.
Dunne has played in the last three matches at left-back, and expresses his desire to retain his place in the side.
The 22-year-old said: “Part of football is dealing with disappointments, so I just have to do that and keep pushing. I’m looking to keep my head down and get a run in the team. I need to make sure I do the simple stuff well.”
Meanwhile, Cubero has proved a useful member of Neil McDonald’s squad this year and he reminisces on the World Cup which helped him earn a move to Bloomfield Road.
Pleased to be at Blackpool, Cubero also discusses his like-mindedness with his manager: “I like the style of the manager, he trusts us on the ball which suits me. Our Gaffer always wants us on the ball. If it’s not possible then yes, go long, but first try to pass.”
As for Doncaster, goalkeeper Thorsten Stuckmann provides the away perspective with a pre-match interview and talks readers through his team mates.
There’s the usual pre-match notes from McDonald, while we learn more about Tom Aldred and Martin Paterson.
Designed by O Publishing and priced at £3, Up The Pool is now available from around Bloomfield Road.
