Mini Football Sessions For YoungstersBlackpool FC Community Trust is launching a new project in addition to our already extensive work with early years children.
The Trust currently works in a host of local nursery settings, providing quality PE provision for 2-4 year-olds, while providing support to staff to increase their knowledge and delivery skills.
As part of the work done with these young children, from 14th November, the Trust is delivering football sessions every Saturday morning at Hawes Side Academy for 3-6-year-olds to come along and enjoy.
The sessions are split into age specific activities that focus on increasing the fundamental skills needed for children to prepare to take part in physical education at school and enjoy their football.
Everybody’s first session is completely free and then will only cost £2.50 per week, with each session lasting 45 minutes.
Physical Education Officer Chris Nay said: "We are really excited to launch these sessions and very focused on improving the skills of the children from a young age. I will be leading the sessions each week and really can't wait to get started."
Head of Community, Ashley Hackett, added: "Chris has worked really hard to provide a quality provision for the younger ages and this is our next step to providing services in the Community for all ages. We will be launching a number of other provisions in the new year for this age group and their families, so keep checking our website to find out more."
