Blackpool Kits Donated To Youngsters

Blackpool Football Club has teamed up with Onechild Ghana to donate kits to youngsters in the West African country.

A number of tangerine shirts from previous seasons have been shipped to the Ashanti region of Ghana for students to play football in.

Onechild Ghana, a UK registered charity, supports a number of vocational schools in rural parts of Ghana, helping students obtain vital employable skills, in order for them to work their own way out of poverty.

Onechild believes that education, training and skills are fundamental in alleviating poverty in developing countries.

Working directly with the local population, Onechild Ghana raises money to fulfill its goals:

- To enable children and young adults to go to school
- To improve the quality of education in Ghana
- To help students acquire essential skills to develop their own communities
- To empower local schools enabling them to help themselves

"I'd like to thank the club for its kind gesture and support. The football kits donated will be greatly appreciated and used continuously by the students in Ghana," said Jamie Belnikoff, Founder and Chair of Onechild Ghana.
