Jones Returns To Liverpool For Injury Assessment

1 October 2015

Defender Undergoing Scans

Lloyd Jones has returned to Liverpool to assess the extent of the ankle injury he sustained against Chesterfield.

The defender was forced off in injury time of Blackpool's 2-0 victory on Tuesday night and left the ground with a protective boot on.

"He's gone back to Liverpool and he's getting all the scans today to find out the extent of what the injury is. We'll probably have a better idea tonight," manager Neil McDonald confirmed.

"It's unfortunate because I thought that was his best game of the season so far and he then he gets injured in the last minute."

On a more positive note, Tom Aldred has resumed training following the knock to the head he suffered against Shrewsbury and could return for the Swindon game.

"He's been back in light training so we're hopeful that he'll come into consideration for Saturday," McDonald added.
