Planning Application Submitted For New Facility at Squires Gate

Neil McDonald has welcomed news of a planning application being submitted to build a new facility at the training ground.

The club is currently waiting for the green light from Fylde Borough Council to knock down the existing building at Squires Gate, in preparation for a new purpose-built facility to include changing rooms, a classroom, offices, a hospitality area/players' canteen, rehabilitation gym, physiotherapists' room and associated facilities.

"It's just what the club needs at the moment, not just for the first-team players but for the academy as well," he told the official website. "We can all be in the one building working hard to make Blackpool better.

"Planning permission is hopefully going to be granted and we'll start work as quick as we can to get the building up."
