McDonald Hopeful Of Injury Returns

20 October 2015

Manager Ahead Of Millwall Clash

Neil McDonald is hoping to have a greater pool of players to select from for Tuesday’s clash with Millwall at Bloomfield Road.

Lloyd Jones, David Norris and Martin Paterson missed the goalless draw at Coventry, but the latter two are nearing a return to action.

"We’re hoping that a couple might be back," revealed McDonald. "We’ve had a couple of injuries to players who we had to do without on Saturday.

"David Norris got injured against Swindon and Martin Paterson had a bit of a tight hamstring, so fingers crossed they might come into contention on Tuesday."

The Seasiders go into the fixture unbeaten in their last four matches and McDonald believes the growing confidence in tangible around Bloomfield Road.

"We’ve stuck to the formation and with personnel, and we’re getting our just rewards for that.

"Points give you confidence and performances encourage you to do better, and we’re getting both at the minute which is great," he added.
