Blackpool In JPT ActionNeil McDonald says tonight's Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie at Port Vale will allow him to give some other players the chance to impress.
The likes of Martin Paterson and Kwame Thomas have waited patiently for opportunities in recent weeks and could be rewarded with starts at Vale Park.
"The people who are waiting deserve a bit of a go, and if we need to make changes as the game goes along to make sure that everybody gets a game then we'll do that. I want the players who haven't played to show me what they can do," McDonald confirmed.
The manager also has a number of injury concerns to contend with ahead of the game, with Lloyd Jones (ankle), Kyle Letheren (finger), David Norris (calf) and Henry Cameron (knee) definitely out. One or two other players carrying knocks will be assessed prior to kick-off.
The challenge for the side that takes to the field will be to build on the victories against Chesterfield and Swindon Town with another positive performance.
"We're looking forward to the games now, the boys are full of confidence and I feel as though they're playing well. They're getting their just rewards," McDonald added.
