Team: Higham Makes Professional Debut

Youngster Given The Nod In JPT

Luke Higham will make his professional debut in Blackpool’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy second round tie at Port Vale this evening.

The defender has been with the club since the age of eight and is one of a number of changes made by manager Neil McDonald.

He hands first Blackpool starts to Jarrett Rivers and Martin Paterson, while the likes of Charles Dunne, Connor Oliver and Kwame Thomas have a chance to impress.

There’s also a place on the bench for youth team captain Macauley Wilson, alongside strike duo Jack Redshaw and Mark Cullen.

Team: Doyle, Higham, Aldred, Robertson, Dunne, Rivers, Oliver, Cubero, Osayi-Samuel, Paterson. Thomas.

Subs: Boney, Wilson, Herron, Redshaw, Cullen.
