Preview Tonight's Lions Clash
Blackpool take their four-match unbeaten run into back-to-back home games, the first of which sees them take on Millwall this evening.
The two sides were relegated from The Championship together last season, but after slow starts are starting to pick up form during the autumn months.
Neil McDonald hopes to have David Norris and Martin Paterson available for selection, after the duo missed Saturday’s game with Coventry City. Lloyd Jones remains a long-term absentee.
As for Millwall, Jimmy Abdou and Ed Upson will miss the clash, while Paris Cowan-Hall remains a doubt.
McDonald said: “We’ve stuck to the formation and with personnel, and we’re getting our just rewards for that. Points give you confidence and performances encourage you to do better, and we’re getting both at the minute which is great.”
Millwall assistant Dave Livermore said: “Blackpool will give us a different test, but we always we do our homework and will set the team up accordingly. We have watched a few of their games, they are organised and in some respects will be tougher than Swindon were on Saturday.”
Nigel Miller will take charge of his first Blackpool game since last November, when Pool drew 1-1 with Bolton Wanderers. He officiated The Lions against Blackburn Rovers last April.
Nick Greenhalgh and Thomas Kirk will be his assistant, while Paul Hodskinson will be the fourth official.
Henry Cameron and John Herron front this evening’s Up The Pool, with skipper David Ferguson and Derby County loanee Kwame Thomas going under the spotlight with our feature interviews. There are also contributions from Cameron, Neil McDonald, Brad Potts and Steve Morison.
All this and much, much more can be found in the latest Up The Pool, priced at just £3.
