Midfielder On Blackpool Move
New Blackpool recruit David Norris says the opportunity to link up with Neil McDonald once again was too good to turn down.
The midfielder enjoyed two of his earliest years in football with the current Pool boss at Bolton Wanderers and this week they reunited at Bloomfield Road.
The pair spoke earlier in the week, when McDonald convinced the 34-year-old he’d be best utilised as part of his squad.
“Knowing the manager and the way he works really enticed me to Blackpool,” he said. “He was telling me about the team, saying they weren't far away, and the set-up here.
“At times the club gets a bad press from the outside looking in, but it’s not like that at all once you get in.”
Norris has made over 400 appearances across his career and boasts a wealth of experience, which makes him ideal for Blackpool.
“Hopefully experience is something I can bring, I’ve played quite a few games in my career so far, and it’s a young squad, so if I can help in any way then I will.
“My general fitness is good, it might take me a couple of games to get sharp, but I did as much as I could.
“I’m chomping at the bit, I’ve got a chance now to get myself into the team, and hopefully that’s what I’m going to do,” he added.
