Paterson Completes Blackpool Move

14 September 2015

Striker Joins On Deal Until End of Season

Martin Paterson has completed a move to Blackpool on a deal until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.

Capped 22 times for Northern Ireland, the striker arrives at Bloomfield Road following a brief stint in the MLS for Orlando City.

Prior to that, the 28-year-old established himself as a hard-working forward with the likes of Scunthorpe United, Burnley and Huddersfield Town.

Paterson, who had previously been training with the club prior to signing his contract, is fit and raring to go for the challenge ahead.

"As soon as I came in to train the manager wanted me to sign and wanted me to prove my fitness. I feel fit and ready to go out and play some games," he said.

"I'm joining the club to add experience and hopefully firepower. I'm looking forward to playing as many games as I possibly can this season for Blackpool."
