Inside Tonight's Edition
Jim McAlister and Lloyd Jones are put under the spotlight in Tuesday’s programme, as Blackpool prepare to take on Chesterfield at Bloomfield Road.
The duo have featured on a regular basis this season, with McAlister sampling English football for the first time and Jones gaining experience on loan from Liverpool.
McAlister, who has played in all but one game this season, discusses life below the border, after earning a deal at Bloomfield Road in the summer.
“Being down now and sampling what it’s like, it’s something I wish I’d done in my early twenties rather than my late twenties. I’m definitely glad that I took the chance to come in and train with the boys for a few days and got offered a deal because I’m thoroughly enjoying it.”
Meanwhile, teenage defender Jones has played the last four matches alongside Tom Aldred and is learning his trade while borrowed from Anfield.
“You’re not going to be remembered for playing in Liverpool’s Under-21s, you’ll be remembered for how many league games you play. I could be there now, but the way you make it is by showing you can cope in a first-team environment.”
Elsewhere, midfielder John Herron goes Under The Spotlight and Mark Cullen talks Up The Pool through the top six moments of his career in entertaining fashion.
As for Chesterfield, Ian Evatt is interviewed ahead of his return to Bloomfield Road and talks us through each of his teammates.
As usual there is a full section for Young Seasiders and Neil McDonald provides his pre-match notes.
Designed by O Publishing and priced at £3, Up The Pool is now available from around Bloomfield Road.
