Manager Bemoans Performance In 1-0 DefeatNeil McDonald says Blackpool must immediately focus on next Saturday's game at Rochdale following 'a bad day at the office' against Colchester United.
The manager watched his side put in a disappointing display that was in stark contrast to recent games, as Chris Porter's strike was enough to seal all three points for The U's.
"We didn't perform as well as we have done in the last few games and we got what we deserved today, which was nothing." McDonald said.
"We huffed and puffed in front of goal but never really played the football that we have done in the last three or four games. We didn't deserve anything today, that was a poor performance by everybody."
Not one to dwell on the defeat, McDonald insists that his side quickly bounce back and ensure that the level of performance is much improved at Spotland.
"I'm certainly putting it down as a bad day at the office. Over the last three or four games the combinations and the dynamics of the team had been very good.
"We didn't hit it off today at all, we now take it on the chin and move on to Rochdale next week. That's all we can do now, there's no point worrying about a poor performance, we have to make sure our next performance is much better than that."
