Latest Up The Pool
Clark Robertson has returned to the Blackpool side in recent weeks and is Saturday’s cover star for the Southend United edition of Up The Pool.
The defender has featured in Blackpool’s previous three unbeaten matches and is interviewed inside, discussing the club’s return to form and life as a new dad.
He said inside: “If we were offered seven points out of nine before the three games we’ve just played, then I think we’d have taken them.
“We probably should have beaten Bury and made it nine points from nine, but it wasn’t to be and we now take our current form into this game against Southend.”
He is joined inside by Hayden White, who hopes Blackpool’s recent good results are a sign of things to come.
“Nobody wants to get relegated and we know what we’ve got to do, and I think we’ll do it. I’m hoping Oldham was rock bottom and we can go the rest of the season unbeaten,” he explained.
“You can see the spirits lift straight away after a win. The atmosphere’s changed in the changing room, it’s never been bad but after Oldham we knew something needed to change.”
Elsewhere, Pool legend John Murphy takes readers through the top six moments of his career, including promotions and hat-tricks.
Southend striker Tyrone Barnett gives the away perspective, discussing their play-off push and the players in the away dressing room.
Neil McDonald provides his usual pre-match notes and there’s plenty to keep the youngsters entertained on the Young Seasiders pages.
Designed by O Publishing and priced at £3, Up The Pool is now available from around Bloomfield Road.
